Lori Woody is a prominent workers’ compensation catastrophic nurse in the state of Florida as well as the President of Lori Woody, Inc. As the president of the company she is involved in overseeing staff, medical and vocational rehabilitation specialists/case managers, overseeing Social Security Disability experts. She has also conducted training seminars on rehabilitation issues.
In addition, she is also a catastrophic case manager/rehabilitation nurse. This involves working with Workers’ Compensation, Auto and Personal Liability in a variety of injuries, including catastrophic cases. The files are medically managed from the time of the acute injury to the point where the patient reaches a medical plateau and his/her maximum rehabilitation potential. This also includes doing home evaluations, coordinating home modifications on catastrophic cases, coordinating overall care as related to follow-up medical appointments, durable medical equipment, medications, supplies, etc. She does and reviews Life Care Plans/ Medical Care Cost Projections, reviews medical records on litigated cases, and determines the rehabilitation needs of the injured party and offers recommendations.
